The direct predecessor to the famous/infamous Japanese Zero fighter.  The A5M served primarily during the 1930's seeing action in the "Sino-Japanese War".  The Mitsubishi A5M had the distinction of being the first carrier born monoplane fighter.  The A5M was replaced by the A6M Zero fighter but continued to serve into World War 2 as mostly a training aircraft and seeing action in some cases where replacements were in short supply.  It is also reported that some A5M's were used in Kamikazi attacks.

1 model aircraft made from 1/16 inch Ash wood, included 1 flight stand made of 1/8 inch Birch plywood and two magnets.
