The Airco DH2 first flown in June 1915. The DH2 was of a long line of British pusher designs where the engine was mounted behind the pilot leaving the nose mounted machine gun free of the propeller. One of the main drawbacks to this design was that the pilot suffered from not having the heat of the engine to warm the cockpit. The DH2 did great service in combating the "Fokker Scourge" but was outmatched when the Albatros appeared in the skies. The DH2 remained in service long after it had become outdated however as the Allies needed planes in the air.

1 model aircraft made from 1/16 inch Ash wood, included 1 flight stand made of 1/8 inch Birch plywood and two magnets.
