The mon (family crest) of the Great and powerful Oda clan.  Oda Nobunaga led his clan from almost obscurity to probably the most powerful clan of the Sengoku Jidai.  The path to greatness opened up to Nobunaga because of his masterful victory at the battle of Okezahama, outnumbered by at least ten to one by the Imagawa clan, Oda surprised Imagawa Yoshimoto under cover of a fortuitous thunderstorm and won the day.  Battles were won and lost by Oda Nobunaga but his power continued to grow and grow.  Oda Nobunaga may have conquered all of Japan if one of his generals, Akechi Mutsuhide had not surrounded and set fire to the Honno-ji temple in Kyoto were Nobunaga had stayed for the night.  It is told that Oda and his guard fought bravely but were overwhelmed, Nobunaga committing seppuku while his guard held off the enemy.  Mutsuhide declared himself shogun but was only to survive for eleven days after the death of Oda Nobunaga.

Almost all mon can be found to be used by many different samurai throughout the centuries.
