The mon (family crest) of the legendary Kato Kiyomasa. Kiyomasa was the son of a blacksmith from the village of Nakamura, the home town of the powerful Hideyoshi. When at an early age Kiyomasa's father died Hideyoshi took him into his service and trained him as a warrior, he showed exceptional aptitude in the martial arts and rose to be one of Hideyoshi's great warrior commanders.
Almost all mon can be found to be used by many different samurai throughout the centuries.
